How to Issue Your Donors' Year- End Tax Receipts

To send out your tax receipts, first, click on the Reports tab, then Tax Receipts from the left-hand side menu, and then click on View Tax Receipts.

 

Filters

There are two filters you can apply.

You can choose to send a tax receipt to all donors or enter in an amount next to the box, “I wish to send tax receipts to donors who have given more than______” and click on Display. This will update your batches to include donors who have only given over that specific amount.

The other filter you can apply is if you would like to receipt for the entire year or just since you sent out the last batch of tax receipts. Check or Uncheck the “Include Entire Year” box accordingly and click on Display to update your batches.

Sending Your Tax Receipts

Now you have two choices on how to send your tax receipts. You can choose to print or send an email.

 

Printing Your Tax Receipts

All donors who are listed under the Print Tax Receipt section do not have a valid email address or you have chosen not to use their email for tax receipt purposes. To see the donors who are within this batch, you can simply click on View Details to see a list of donors and their total amount given.

On the next page, you can click to highlight a donor’s name and then click on View Details to see the donations that make up their total amount given. Then just click on the back arrow to be taken to the previous page.

When you are ready to Print out your tax receipts, simply click on Print All and a print preview tab will open. From here you will be able to print out your tax receipts. Please note that the tax receipts will be formatted to fit into a #10 double window envelope.

Emailing Your Tax Receipts

All donors who are listed under the Email Tax Receipt section have a valid email address and you have chosen to use their email for tax receipt purposes. To see the donors who are within this batch, you can simply click on View Details to see a list of donors and their total amount given.

On the next page, you can click to highlight a donor’s name and then click on View Details to see the donations that make up their total amount given. Then just click on the back arrow to be taken to the previous page.

When you are ready to Email your tax receipts, simply click on Email All and your tax receipts will be immediately sent. You will receive a message that lets you know the receipts have been sent. If you do not want to email your tax receipts you can simply click on Print All to print them instead.

Tax Receipt History

Whenever you print or email your tax receipts you will see this batch appear in the Tax Receipt History section. You can always reprint a printed batch or reprint or resend an emailed batch.
